After his sensational Mendocino County debut at the WCT this past spring, he received four standing ovations, guitarist Philippe Bertaud returns as the sixth event in the World Guitarist Series in a special, one-performance only show at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29.

"After Philippe's first composition the audience realized they were about to experience a night to remember," says WCT Production Manager Stephanie Chatten in recalling Bertaud's April performance. "It was a certainty he would be returning by popular request."

Bertaud refers to his characteristic style as "classic-fusion" developed from his eclectic musical background and world travels. He refined his talents in both classical and jazz at the National Conservatory of Nice, under the renowned composer Jacques Charpentier.

"At heart I am a classical artist, but with a soul for the Latin strong rhythms," Philippe remarks. His compositions and arrangements reflect a true harmony of both his heart and soul classical with a warm Latin infusion.
