The Alhambra International Guitar Competition will be held Saturday April 23, through Sunday April 24at the South Side On Lamar, 1409 South Lamar Street
Dallas, TX 75215-1871.  Entry fee is $250.  The value of winning is priceless.

Goals of the Alhambra International Guitar Competition

This competition identifies young guitarists (college and university students), encourages them to continue and pursue their artistry and boost their chances of a having a successful career as a performer.

The Alhambra International Guitar Competition is a spring-board, which will launch the winner’s career by securing paid performances at international venues, give media exposure and a performance video will be produced to promote the winner.
The competition will also award the winner an Alhambra concert guitar model, one of the indispensable keys to successful stage presence.  It is also a fundraising event benefitting the Musical Angels, a non-profit organization created for hospitalized children to actively participate in the joyful and healing process of making music. The balance will finance the 2012 Alhambra International Guitar Competition.

Eligibility

Open to college and university guitar students who are at the outset of their careers and who are not represented by major management.

Age Requirements

Applicants to the Alhambra International Guitar Competition must have been born on or after January 1, 1980.

Deadline

Entries with all fees and application materials must be received by the Alhambra International Guitar Competition no later than February 23 2011. No late entries will be considered.
